Beautiful Bermuda

Greg and I took a six day cruise to Bermuda this past May. Our Royal Caribbean ship sailed from dreary Port Liberty New Jersey and docked in the Royal Navy Dockyard on a warm sunny day.

We docked in Bermuda and wanted to get to our hotel the fastest way possible.
Taking a taxi was the most convenient for us. A 30 minute ride cost about $35.

Greg and I arrived at the Four Ways Inn and we couldn't believe how exquisite the hotel was a the customer service was outstanding. Attention to detail like the exposed wood, over sized fireplaces, and beautifully kept grounds made our stay heavenly. Greg and I were so happy that we didn't choose any of the cookie cutter, overly touristy resorts.

Our suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Beautiful views, a comfortable bed, and a large bathroom were just a few of the things that made our stay so comfortable.

Room service was included in our stay. Check off what you want on their order menu and leave it outside your door. The next morning breakfast is served!

A fresh assortment of fruit, pastries, jams, coffee, and tea was served on a silver platter.

After breakfast we packed for the day and headed to Elbow Beach. We had read that this was the least touristy beach.

Our Day in Hamilton...

The next day was spent exploring Hamilton. Our mission was to find authentic island food. We found the majority of restaurants in Hamilton served overpriced American food-cheeseburgers, salads, BLTS... I was rather disappointed.

Then we found exactly what we were looking for- The Smokin' Barrel.
