This incredible event featured live entertainment, delicious food, the most fabulously outrageous drag queens, and of course, the Pride Parade. The city was pulsating with positive energy. For 10 days, people from all walks of life came out to express themselves (clothing optional). Toronto is a very accepting city; Pride Week is just another way they show it.

My
second visit to Toronto was Christmas of ’09. Greg and I landed Christmas Eve.
The streets were dusted white and strung with lights. The city was
tranquil-almost still. We spent that first night in Chinatown eating delicious dim
sum. The next few days, we wandered around. Shopping on Boxing Day, Ice-skating
followed by lunch, and a hop on hop off bus around the city. Even during the off-season,
Toronto has much to offer.
Greg and I like to stay at the Econo Lodge in the Church and Wellesley neighborhood. Although the Econo Lodge may not be the most glamorous hotel, we like the affordable rooms and convenient location. A large variety of bars and clubs, restaurants, and shopping surround this tiny hotel.
This here is a standard room. Queen size bed with basic amenities.
